5th International Symposium on Neglected Influenza Viruses

The 5th International Symposium on Neglected Influenza Viruses will be held on 8-10 April 2024 in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. This meeting will explore the latest research on surveillance and disease investigation, virus transmission and control, clinical and experimental virology, plus emerging issues and new developments related to  equine, canine, avian, marine mammal, additional wildlife and other non-human influenza viruses.
 
Goals and Objectives
 
To promote a transdisciplinary, coordinated 'One Health' approach to the control of influenza by integrating the scientific input from public health, veterinary health, environmental health, and basic science. 
  • To share knowledge of swine, equine, canine, avian, marine mammal, additional wildlife and other non-human influenza viruses across continents and disciplines.
  • To promote interaction among scientists interested in non-human, wildlife and other influenza viruses whose work may not regularly receive international attention.
  • To explore the latest data relating to the prevention, diagnosis, surveillance and control of influenza viruses in the protection of human and animal health.
